My grandmother worked for a now non-existant hotel chain and traveled the southeast to train their kitchen staff. Because of this, she cooked enough food to feed an army for every meal and cooked three meals every single day. Her house was always the gathering place for all of the other old women in the neighborhood at meal time. There were probably a ten different women that would come through and eat at any given time then sit on the porch with us and gossip before they headed back home. That was my life everyday during the summers and it was awesome.
My granny was a housewife and helped on my grandad's farm and she cooked the same amount of food. And it was glorious.
One of my closest friends has taken up bird watching and making fun of him is a new constant source of entertainment for me.
That is me. I used to only feed in the Winter and figured they should eat pest, insects during the Spring and Summer. Now it is Year round.
