Which is fine but I'd usually choose to trust the coach who hasn't been drunk in a huddle on multiple occasions.

 

All I could think about while watching was the comparison of scanning a Wisconsin student section to UT, FL, GA, etc. Like comparing JV to Varsity

 

David Shaw needs to leave for the NFL. He’s lost all of his momentum at Stanford and isn’t likely to recapture it.

 

Targeting is such a weird rule. We all know what it is trying to prevent, but damn, the head is always going to be the first thing you hit with. It is biomechanics.

I really struggle with this rule.

 

I’m usually a big fan of Joe Klatt, but he’s exactly right when it comes to targeting.

 

I’m basically to the point where we should treat it like yellow/red cards in soccer. Anything malicious is an automatic ejection. If it’s borderline then just penalize them. Two borderline calls for the same player results in an ejection.

 

Oklahoma in a bit if trouble against Tulane

I just turned on the bama Miami game. The NCAA starting bama with 7 points now?

 

Isn’t he the highest rated QB that they’ve ever signed? I know ratings don’t mean a whole lot once you are on campus, just a little weird that they’ve gotten production out of guys who were lightly recruited, but their highest rated guy doesn’t look the part.

 

I think so, but the QB rankings as a Vol fan have left me a little jaded there. I'm just struck at how remarkably similar Wisconsin looks year after year, no matter the coach or personnel.

 

Damn Todd McShay looks worse than Mack Brown

 

When Saban retires/dies on the sideline at age 93, I will savor every Alabama loss, no matter how often or to whom, like each is its own special golden nugget.
