Nashville, Brentwood, Chattanooga and Atlanta suck. Or do they? Discuss here.

My wife likes Murfreesboro. She is insane. I want to move to Murray, Ky or Maryville. "There's nothing there." Insanity.

East, Nations, Woodbine, Germantown all cool areas.

    What's the restaurant?

Murfreesboro has exploded over the last 20 years.

Not sure what’s in Murfreesboro these days unless you really like chain restaurants and watching good restaurants be run out of business by chain restaurants.

Yeah I know. It used to be really similar to Bowling Green, KY, which is basically where I grew up.

I haven't the faintest idea why anyone would want to live in Murfreesboro, the same goes for soulless Brentwood. Franklin, I get. The same for Hendersonville.

Myself, I got my spot in East Nashville, which is surprisingly quiet for a place mere blocks from downtown and I'm cool with it. I suppose not growing up here also insulates me from the type of whining those who did constantly spit forth of the apparent halcyon days of the city in the 90s.

Murfreesboro reminds me a lot of Williamson County/Cool Springs 20 years ago. Lots of neighborhoods and commercial spots popping up on old farm land.

I like Nashville in general, granted it's all I have ever known outside of living in Knoxville for my stint at UT.

The new exits and areas of the Boro are fine. Old school Boro is a cluster [uck fay] of roads near campus and the old hospital. Main exit right there by the golf course on the left as you go into town is bumper to bumper everytime I'm on it.
Same for i24 past s pitt coming up on nooga. It's backed up 45 minutes everytime now. No wrecks. Just traffic and not enough lanes

If there's anywhere that's worse than Nashville it's murfreesboro.

    There's mountains in the way

You can get off in Dunlap and go up and over Signal Mountain and avoid all that

Which links to the biggest cluster of road systems in the world - Chattanooga.

Wait, what??!? You mean to tell me Tenny is Indy too??! Or conversely, Indy is actually Tenny???!?

Their road systems at least make sense. Chatt has no reason to be as awful as it is.

I agree about Chattanooga but Atlanta is an absolute cluster. Spaghetti junction alone is enough to invite Sherman back for an encore…

Honestly we could probably find a reason before we get to spaghetti junction

Personal individual transport in growing metropolises has an inevitable end state. Failure.
