1. Defense is still sketchy and we are very thin in a lot of places. 2. Was Hooker a flash in the pan, or the real deal? 3. Lot a lot of receiving yards to the draft. 4. Teams will have a year of film of Heupel in the SEC to study. 5. Not a ton of proven depth at RB 6. Pitt and LSU will be tough road games. 7. Look at 2018 to 2019 drop off of Heupel at UCF. 8. Kesling is still behind the mic.
Cold blanket time, but two of the teams we beat got better, one of them drastically so just by adding a QB. Granted one of the teams that beat us might finally be so stuck in the pit of losing mentality that we can shake our yearly choke against them. One thing that nobody talks about is how the schedule plays out. It potentially does us some favors IF we take advantage of the early season stretch. Momentum could carry us through the back half of the schedule, but if we slip up early then we could definitely get blindsided later in the season.
Long suffering vol fans just can't tell the difference anymore. Just a stream or conscious, trying to bully the unfeeling universe into acknowledging the vol fan's existence. We are still here, damn you!
I’m worried I might be right in saying Tennessee will lead the nation in losses by 7 points or less. Banks defense underwhelms.
We had a lot of tackles for loss, but we also played more snaps. Need to contain a lot better in the box. Teams just let our DTs get upfield, released an OL to Banks and too many times no one was there for qb run. Let’s pin our ears back on the edges and be there waiting when the qb tries to step up.
Defense has got to get off of the field. I do not believe that I have ever seen so many 3rd and long conversions made against us as I did last year.
Defense just can’t allow long drawn out drives and needs to get the ball back to the offense without a score 3 times a game.
I'm nearing pulling the trigger on Florida tickets. The last time I did that was 2012, I believe. We rolled into the game ranked with a high powered offense and thinking that we had finally turned the corner. We lost. I almost fell asleep at the wheel a few times on the 10+ hour drive home overnight after the game. We finished the season a disappointing 5-7, and our impressively long stretch of mediocrity continued for years to come.
Just heard Roman Harper say that all the Defense has to do is hold the other team to Field Goals and not allowing TD's; because FGs will not beat us.
