Smokey greys are coming back.

 

Why can we match helmets for that but keep not doing it with the black?

 

Wait, 3 years of smoky gray?! They need to make them more interesting and not reminiscent of the butch jones years look. Make em darker, put a texture on them, something.

 

Never really a fan. They looked kind of meh, nothing really sharp about them.

 

Helmets were because it was impossible to find black helmets (or helmets at all) last year.

Yep. Not atrocious, just boring. You can’t do boring when you’re regular unis are some of the best anywhere.

 

It's a lot better. I ordered a lot earlier this year. Got about 2/3 of my order with the rest being shipped 10/1ish.

Shoulder pads were my biggest issue this year. Ordered some new ones, got 0 before season.

 

I like the smokey greys. I really liked the year that the helmet had the mountain silhouette on them. That might have been during the Trumpet Blower tenure.

Great shot with one of my favorite all time Vols but the grey uniforms still kind of ruins it for me. Not much but I say let's just wear the orange and white and whip their ass. But again, JMO and if the players want the greys, let them have their fun.

 

Hard to see that smokey gray picture and not have a visceral negative reaction to the Lyle years.

 

Also, Webster didn't take the trouble to write his own dictionary so that you guys could spell gray with an e.
