Top 100 corner Cai Bates decommitted from LSU. Looks like Tennessee is in a good spot.

We were his 2nd choice at the time he chose LSU.

Picked FSU. Too many stars for 3 star Willie anyway.

Missed on the TE from Utah. We certainly aren’t recruiting on an elite level currently.

Took Jimbo getting fired for it to happen but he is in Auburn’s backyard

It would make it a stellar OL haul for sure.

Don't know what the staff has in mind but in my eyes, Seaton is priority 1 from here on out.

FWIW, our class has the 3rd highest star average on Rivals and is 8th in average on 247.

    It's a high quality class.

If you think I am going to careen into another Tennessee offseason with optimism after a devastating 8-4 season the last time I did, you got another thing comin'.

My question is, why you went into this season with so much optimism? I was hopeful some critical things would happen that didn't, but 8-4 is about where I saw us if they didn't.

Speaking for myself I saw a lot of the optimism as justified, I believed that with Heupel’s coaching Milton would make some strides. I also believed that while the things Milton is bad at would always be limiting factors, I thought Heupel could work around them. That turned out to be wrong.

I’m not sure it wouldn’t have worked if the WR room was as talented as previous years.

I thought Milton could turn it on.

Let’s imagine a qb who could throw over the middle of the field (making route combos more unpredictable), run an RPO, and deliver a ball as receivers were coming out of their breaks vs a second late at 100mph. I think the WRs may be better than they looked. They may suck, but don’t be surprised if they all “take a step forward” next year provided Nico can deliver.

Oh yeah I don’t disagree. All I’m saying is Milton couldn’t cut it this year with that group. With Ced, Hyatt and Bru it probably plays out way differently.

I don't get this sentiment at all.
