Milton’s shortcomings are what they are and he couldn’t fix them or really even substantially improve on some, we’ve covered that plenty here. But the idea that they would have been far less glaring/ easier to coach around if those guys had been around seems misguided.
Wrs struggled with separation against good competition. They didn’t last year. We had wrs wide open all game every game. This year we seldom had wrs wide ass open
He improved so much that his continued appearance in the lineup undid a lot of the goodwill that Heupel earned from the successes of 21 and 22.
I still don’t understand how “he would’ve done a lot better with Ced, Hyatt and Bru” is a hot take. It’s true of any quarterback.
He had Ced, Hyatt and Velus and went an entire quarter without completing a pass. It's not a hot take necessarily but he's failed miserably throwing it to NFL caliber receivers before
And in those moments he would have performed even worse if he didn’t have NFL caliber receivers. This all started with talking about the preseason optimism. In my opinion a lot of people (me included) underestimated the drop off because 2022 was straight fireworks. Heupel and Hooker deserve tons of credit but those receivers were studs.
I tried to slip him a bag of McDonald's but there was some confusion because it was actually just McDonald's.
