Reading the article on ESPN, there's a pretty good chance that other son is dead or in prison. So, great job?
what I don't understand is how this is supposed to show he's a man's man? shouldn't his truly manly other heterosexual son be able to get some strange without paying for it?
That is absolutely heartbreaking. I think his stength and perseverance to survive and achieve the success he has is the most impressive aspect of this story.
I did enjoy the fact he went to the Applebee's to drown his sorrows. For some reason that rounded out the story.
Hey, Applebee's is a good neighborhood. No wait, that's Eatin' good in the neighborhood. No wait, that's blatantly false.
You can't help but root for this kid. It's pretty clear there is no agenda here. He just didn't want to start lying after he finally came out to friends and family
I wonder if they can make it into some kind of advertising campaign? Sort of like, if you're angry about the gays and too upscale to go to Chick-fil-A, then Happy Hour is 3-6 every day here at Applebee's.
1) I literally just got my half-smoke on. Oh, my belly feel so good now. 2) Black people love me, so I'm not a real good barometer for judging how nice they are to white people. 3) But U St is fully gentrified at this point. Being mean to whitey would just be bad business. 4) "It's cool that y'all have pictures of famous people all over the restaurant and they're all black. I get it. That's your M.O. -- roll with it." 5) But Obama's momma's white. 6) Marinate on that. 7) I should note that most of the girls behind the counter are Ethiopian. 8) And one of them is substantially hot, though she wasn't there tonight. 9) I realize you make your trips to the District for balls-depth acquisition and not message board bro-downs, but.. 10) Give me a holler if you're gonna be in town, and out on the town. 11) I'll meet you out for a drink. 12) Don't worry, I won't linger. I'm not a lingerer.* ________________________________________________________ *Unless your girl has friends with her..and we're conversating playfully.
I see that Tony Basilio is doing a "coming out heterosexual" schtick on his show. Now, granted, I don't hear him live, so I'm going off of his web page, but please tell me he isn't being that dense about this whole deal and he understands how ridiculous this is, right? Am I missing some greater joke here?
I think he's a truly good and charitable person, but he's also fundamentalist in his relgious views (which is fine). I think that's where all this stems from, but it makes me cringe a little when he covers topics like this one.
