Is a coach worth keeping IMO. He's become a stud on the recruiting trail and an above average assistant coach. Ethan Wolf is going to be a high draft pick one day and our special teams (medley the exception) are performing great. Now we need some depth at tight end but Jakob Johnson intrigues me there and Austin Pope is supposedly a stud. Same for Devante Brooks if he can stay healthy. Wish we could have kept Helm. Poor kid never got out much. If a new coach comes into play I would like to see him keep Elder, Thig and Gellispe. If for no other reason, they are our best recruiters.
I would keep Thig. Good recruiter and his players love him. Not the best x and o coach but I like him. Elder, meh.
Thig is worth keeping for his recruiting. For those who think he cant coach I would point to JRM. I highly doubt it was his decision to start Jumper.
I think he has done a good job but nothing really stands out to me other than play makers making plays. The kicking game has taken a step back. IMO
siap. Elder is probably gone to EKU http://www.wtvq.com/2015/12/08/eku-football-tabs-mark-elder-as-next-head-coach/ http://tennessee.247sports.com/Bolt/Report-Vols-Elder-hired-at-Eastern-Kentucky-41844631
