You always get way better when you jettison a guy that's started every game since he stepped on campus.
A few dozen more rankings like that and I might get the board to mention me as the dumbass whose stamp of approval ruins everything. You better up your game.
It really is hard to compare running backs of different styles within 1 system. Hurd is better than Kamara or Foster at Bama or Arky. Kamara is a better RB at UT (with adequate blocking) or Auburn. In our offense as is, Kamara is more effective. For most NFL teams, Hurd is likely a better choice than Kamara. However, Foster has a more NFL body. Clear as mud.
Don't waste your time. Go back and read any of his posts and you'll realize he doesn't know if there is air or ****ing feathers in a football.
I agree with KB on this one. I've never been as enamored with Hurd as most. He was decent and he ran with heart. The fact that Kamara and Kelly go in and look better says a lot.
In this offense, yes, a smaller, quicker RB is better. I am a bigger fan of Hurd as he really played hard and got yards after contact while getting hit in the backfield. But, this offense isn't designed for him. And, he hardly ever fumbled. 2 were huge though. Kamara fumbles a lot. Personally, I am sorry it didn't work out as planned here, but he wasn't far from being the top rusher in UT history.
He would have been excellent in the 2009 offense that featured Hardesty. Some two TE sets, a fullback. He would have been outstanding in that style.
Put Hurd in an NFL style offense and watch the difference. This "offense" wasn't a good fit for him. He made due as best he could.
He was on pace to be UTs all time leading rusher in a scheme that didn't fit him. Some should let that sink in for a min.
Just to be clear, do you have a word that fits better than "retarded" for a statement that "Jalen Hurd is better than Dalvin Cook"?
