Well anyway, that's Zook's record in three years at Florida.

 

And that is the difference between Florida and UT.

 

That would simply be met by a comparison of where the programs were when each took over.

 

Meh. Our talent level now vs. the rest of the SEC isn't drastically different thank what Zook had at UF in the early 2000s. And the next guy won an NC in year two with mostly Zook guys.

 

So you're saying suffering through Butch is gonna get us a NC 2 years after he's fired?

The man choked every time he could win the Big East outright at Cincinnati. That's not counting the 6 turnover game at Kyle Field or South Carolina or Vandy this year

Helfrich is hired for OC/QB coach, JG wins the QB job and is surrounded by play makers who are no longer handcuffed at times. Jennings shines as the #1 WR and has more yards, catches and TD's than any WR in the SEC. CMH is able to get the most out of his players and they are explosive on offense, more so than we've ever seen on the hill. The backfield of Kelly, CFA and Chandler is too much for any front 7 to handle. It's incredible to watch. The OL mauls every single DL they face on every single snap. By the start of the 4th Q defenses are so worn down you can see the quit in their eyes, their fans eyes and their coaches eyes.

Defensively Strip stays on in admin role, Hoke takes his DL position, Fair takes the CB job and Shoop's boys take a giant step forward with a fully healthy roster. Guys like Taylor, Phillips and Kongbo come alive in the absence of Barnett, Vereen and Lewis. McKenzie and Tuttle are back at 100% and DOMINATE the middle. TKjr, Gaulden, DK and McDowell are bigger, stronger and faster. T Fair gets his CB's playing out of their minds, it's a thing of beauty.

Most importantly Butch hires an NFL veteran S&C coach who makes all the difference in the world, the team is in better football shape than any other roster in the conference. No significant injuries except to our opponents bodies and minds.

Butch is given an extension and a healthy raise, the '18 recruiting class closes with a bang, six 5 stars and at #1 in the nation on all 4 recruiting sites and the '19 class already has a handful of elite players on board.

These posts are exactly why UT is mediocre. Majority of fans have no realism when it comes to UT football. Everything is always great, because the expectations are low.

 

It's a miracle we manage to accomplish things like victories in cities that straddle state borders with negative fans like you.

 

We played all our games against the opponents and our fans, so we actually ended up with a school record 18 wins

 

You're two goals are the SEC Championship and National Championship. If you can accomplish the first, you're gonna get a shot at the second one.

This moron of a coach has shown us that not only is he incapable of getting a chance to meet the first goal mentioned above, but also think he doesn't even want to meet that goal. In fact, Im not even sure that it's one of his goals to begin with.

It's like it's a game to see how long he can con the fanbase in to believing he's gonna get us somewhere significant.

You're exactly right. He's talked down the expectations every year, deflected negative talk every time it comes around. The majority of the fanbase buys it, and are in his corner. Takes 7 years to build a program.

It will stay this way until a group of "somebodies" decide they want to change it" which I predict never happens. There wasn't a sense of urgency the last time we did this and there wasn't after Botch blew this year up too.
