I've not heard much out of UT on this one. Then again, not searched much either.

 

I'm pulling for Burke and would be pleased if Currie made it happen.

 

Burke got his name out there today talking to John Wilkerson.

Wilkerson asked point blank if he wanted the job.

"I am."

 

That's a weird answer to the question asked.

 

TN Tech took down FSU last night in a 1/4 matchup.

 

TN Tech is actually doing a solid job across the board at trying to expand the university while also focusing on improving athletics.

 

But...but..you can't do both!

 

It helps that Tech is self sustaining and doesn't have to deal with the board of trustees.

At the same time though Tech will not never be on Tennessee's level on athletics, but they're trying to do it right at their level.

 

I sit on the advisory board for a department at Tech. It is insane to me the growth that department has seen. It is driven by the lottery influx I imagine.

It is also amazing to me how little the faculty has grown with it. It is leading to issues - and the quality is suffering. But man those faculty are some dedicated folks.

The only thing I have a problem with university wide is how the middle levels of leadership and staff have exploded. I met more assistant deans or directors than I thought could exist.

Tech isn't alone on this, particularly post lottery.

 

Almost went to Tech to get an engineering degree. Nice school.

 

Davidson to a super regional and Bethune Cookman plays Florida in the if necessary game today. I speak for us all when I say we are all Wildcats today.

 

I did just that and loved it.

 

I visited the campus during my senior year of high school. I was really close to going there. I remember really liking the campus. Ended up staying close to home and going to APSU.

 

has been some smoke about Ash Lawson being the leading candidate, but apparently Hubbs and crew at VQ say that Holbrook resigning at USCe may shake things up....so, go hire the guy that just resigned at USCe to avoid being fired sounds like the TN thing to do.

 

Was that the guy who won Nattys at USCe?

I know approximately 1000x more about teeball than college baseball, so this isngood info to have.

 

We want to hire the guy that took the team from titles to missing the tourney back to back years.
