Nice. We have a good run coming up in Knox. REK, Turnpike Troubadours, and Cody Jinks will all be here next 2 months.

 

Awesome. Turnpike probably gets more play time than anyone else for me these days.

 

Going to be in Italy while they're in Knoxville but going to see them in Nashville May 18

 

Casey Donahew is a hell of a performer. Not that the other guys weren't but he stole the show.

 

Great week for me. Saw Robert Earl Keen at the Bijou Monday and saw James McMurtry last night in Winston-Salem.

 

Nice work. What'd you think? Monday was definitely a different setlist than I'd heard before. Pulled out a bunch of old off-the-wall stuff, 10,000 chinese, wireless in heaven, etc. I enjoyed it but was different.

 

I kinda thought that was the case. I enjoyed it. McMurtry was awesome though. The show was in what used to be a courtroom and there weren't but about 100 people there.

 

I'll miss McMurtry here in a few weeks as I'll be at a wedding in NC. Kind of sucks, 2 shows within driving distance

 

Robert Earl is playing in Hartford next week, going to try to go but tickets are a little steep for a mid week concert.

 

Dang that is pricey! I've never paid that much, even down front at the ryman.

 

Meant to jump in here and say turnpike troubadours was really good. Evan forgot the words in the first song but I've been there. Basically did every song I wanted to hear. Really good show. Was not really the type of crowd I expected. Way more hipster douche than I figured.

 

Me, too. Much better in person than I expected.

Walker Montgomery played "My Town" for Troy Gentry as his last song. Was touching
