I might be wrong about the 2 million number. I do know that the total is 12 million and it is offset

I thought his was either 6 or 8 million..............it's not 12. And the only issue is the wording of contract if he's fired before 2/1/18.

I think it's $2.5mil per year remaining on contract, so $7.5mil.

If I were AD I would craft contracts so that, subtly, I can just have them transferred to another school in the same university system. I.e., you're now the head coach of UT-Martin, and answer to the senior head coach. Quit if you want. We will pay your contract as long as you're here. But you aren't fired.
