Vols Spring Practice 2012

This. Rod Wilks is at the top of the chart right now, but I can't imagine that lasts.

 

It was a roller coaster of emotions.

 

I swear it seems like he was on the 2004 team.

 

The Arkansas game alone hit about everyone of them in the books. Hell, the 4th quarter of Arkansas did for that matter.

 

lol how the hell does he still have eligibility left? It's like when i found out McBee was just a junior this year.

 

Part of the problem is that the Rod Wilks stuff started before he ever set a foot on campus with utfantilidie's nonsense. It doesn't seem like McBee has been here longer than he has to me.

 

Wilks will likely hang around in the two-deep, imo. He's not a bad football player, he just is always between positions.

 

Vandy...VANDY, was having a field day with him last year.

He's a solid special team contributor, but wanting/needing him to be anything more than that is scary.

 

Vandy was a big win last year. You know, kicking the shit out of them and all.....

 

Yes, Wilks started in our big rivalry win last year.

 

That was really cool when we beat Vandy.

 

It's too funny that you realize this while a dumbass HC at the highest level of college football can't grasp that fact. Instead of being the leader these guys so desperately need, he spends his time writing quips and one liners to keep the inbred "VFL" crowd in stitches.

 

Hard to be a leader when you don't have it in you. Dooley is a micromanager, not a leader.

Highlight of the Dooley era, imo. Narrowly displacing the overtime triumph over UAB of course.

 

Any practice updates? I'm not in Tennessee, so I haven't heard much. Saw some pictures. The one that stuck out was Graham knocking the ball out of one of his RB's hands. I like that Graham is poking at that now. Better to start on it right away than trying to fix it 4 games into the season.
