they say they had a lot of stuff in the vault because of the construction and the vault is fire proof
I can see how this could be so, but it is also such a convenient way to make the fire have a "bad guy."
We live in a weird time, guys. There is only one reason why the point of clarification about aircraft was made.
Even without them, it's usually poor housekeeping or a lack of fire blankets that cause a blaze assuming flammables like gas or other fuel, etc. have been removed.
Very big brain. At 8.3 lbs/gal the stone walls would have flattened, not to mention any stain glass that might have survived the fire/heat. Before it got to towers, they showed firemen up on towers going in and they said they were checking to see if they could save stuff. I agree, I doubt they saved it *all*.
I've only been to Rome. I was surprised at how much graffiti and litter was there in the city center. You'd think it would be a priority of theirs with tourism being such a big deal. To be fair they came out and started picking up litter at sunrise every morning.
never been, but many places the worst offenders about littering and marking things are tourists. so the more you attract, the harder it is to keep up with those problems. not to say most tourists do it. but it only takes a small proportion to add up to a lot of asshats.
It’s pretty amazing how at least outwardly welcoming most Italians are, considering how stupid most tourists are
