I don’t like it but there’s a lot more unsavory stuff out there on him.

I’m not willing to sell my soul, especially for something that’s not a sure thing

The only sure thing out there is Urban Meyer and he’s as bad or worse plus unrealistic.

2 anonymous complaints about a tshirt change and a skirt is too short comment, and 1 about a chosen paddling from a student who was expelled in a decade plus coaching HS. No coed ole miss issues.
    What else you got?
And Kiffin was tapping 18 yr olds while married, but we want him back.
I'll take either. Just curious as to when people draw the line and based off no proof of any of it happening.

I am unconcerned with Kiffin's personal relationships, beyond players, so long as it is legal

Are we just glossing over the fact he used a university cell phone to call escorts on the school plane while on recruiting trips, of which there is proof or no?

How long is your preferred punishment? And do we gloss over the Orange Pride escort service Kiffin and crew created when he was here? Everybody would take him back it appears, including me.
Freeze is no saint but I imagine some of his past errors won't happen again. Probably too risky to hire from a PR standpoint but winning games and cleaning up his act isn't far fetched

The only problem I see with that is he used a university cell phone. I’m sure he’s learned to use a burner now.

ok tifwiw and I'm just the messenger so if you don't agree, don't take it out on me. I usually leave parents i know of players alone regarding the team and don't talk about ball unless they bring it up, but spoke at length with a parent of a soph on the team, who I have known my whole life, while on the road today and basically asked wtf was going on as fans are becoming more apathetic and turning on Pruitt. This is what he gave me:
--his son said it's not as bad as it has looked and stems mainly from qb and on the field leadership on both sides of the ball. He didn't say Pruitt isn't at fault, but mentioned Weinke not helping at all and Chaney's pro style offense doesn't fit our ability at qb as it required quick scanning, reading and decision making.
--they dumbed down the offense as much as possible for JG not to screw it up, but it's lead to being even easier to defend due to his inability to move around and make adlib plays and limited ability to use the middle of the field as they are concerned he will hit an lb in the numbers. Additionally, he said the young defense gets dejected, loses energy and focus and it affects their play. I felt this was happening as I've been on that end before, but he verified it and talked about their body language in 2nd halves as they have often fought and played well for 2-3 quarters but then shit happens and their legs and minds are gone. He mentioned lack of upperclassmen leaders makes it worse. Also mentioned rbs playing lb are lost. Some of these have been mentioned by posters before, just when analyzing the games
--Maurer is leaving unless something drastic happens
--Shrout has most knowledge of the playbook and throws the prettiest ball, but spazzes out live action with a full defense on the field.
--Bailey has had trouble with the playbook and terminology. He mentioned in HS he just picked his 5* wr or TE matchup, threw the ball and didn't need to read anything else, but has been overwhelmed and unable to even call plays at times in the huddle or get the team lined up. Maybe due to missed time with camp and covid, but it does explain a little why it's taken him so long to get going.

I'd gloss over it if he was hired with a zero tolerance mandate. How long do you prefer punishment to be?

It’s got nothing to do with my preferences.

You listed his some of his transgressions but conveniently left out the one that got him fired from the last major college job he had, so I’m just trying to make sure I’m clear.

so you can ask me my preferences, but not answer yours? Ok makes sense.
And everybody knows what he did with the phones. Question is, with successful on the field coaches covering up rape, spouse abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, paying recruits, having people take tests for players and all the nasty stuff that happens, how do you decide when and how long to punish.
If people don't want Freeze as a representative of UT, I understand. I was that way. But now i don't care anymore.

I don't think it is a punishment, being the coach at Tennessee is a privilege. no one is entitled to it.

He's been accused of forcing a 13 year old girl to change shirts in front of him in his office. If Schiano was DQ'd from the job for not reporting child abuse, how could we turn a blind eye to Freeze directly participating in child abuse?

It's almost as if the real reason fans revolted against Schiano had nothing to do with Sandusky, and was solely based on the belief that he wouldn't win here, and they knew they could use the PSU scandal as a convenient cover. Nah, couldn't be that at all.

fair enough. I don't know how you know when someone is squeeky clean but if we wanted to dive into the actions of every coaches career, I don't know how many would fit the profile. College football and basketball is dirty so you either get a little dirty and compete or stay squeeky clean and don't.

I am not expecting squeaky clean. I am expecting someone you can count on to do right by the players and the program while they are here.
