Why exclude Oregon? Tennessee's opponents: 36-29 Georgia's opponents: 36-28 To get 22-26, they must have also excluded Samford. So for apples to apples, I will exclude Pitt (best OOC opponent) and UT Martin (FCS). Tennessee: 27-22. It is literally just swapping Auburn for Alabama and Vanderbilt for Kentucky, essentially. I wouldn't draw any large conclusions from it.
I can't explain why but this game puts me in the mindset of the game in Athens in 1998. Georgia had a ton of hype and had Quincy Carter and a really good defense. I think we picked off Carter 2 or 3 times in the game and he had a very bad game. We held Georgia to like 50 yards rushing. Our offense didn't do wonders that day but we still won 22-3 and just dismantled them in their own house. And remember that trumpet humping idiot of a coach we had in Knoxville managed to beat UGA two years in a row somehow. WGWTFA UT 48 UGA 31
That aligns with my 17 point win prediction. Tennessee will smoke the dogs on the road and end all questions. We are a cohesive ass kicking unit.
My penis is getting hard. We are going to win. Or NYY is within a 1 mile radius of me. Or both. I am ready for Saturday. UT 45 UGA 40
Mine is in full recession, if not flat out cured. But a flare up can always happen, so I am enjoying this season more than any since probably 1985 Sugar Vols (and it is kind of just like that team in how special they are).
A significant amount of mine was cured last Saturday night. The Kentucky game was the perfect 2011-2020 setup for disappointment and my flare up was beginning to occur in the later stages of the first quarter. Yet, that isn't this team. I also feel oddly calm and confident.
I'm enjoying seeing the "this is Tennessee's toughest road game yet" take... Playing #1 on the road is the toughest yet, huh? Wow, cool, nice insight.
The more I look at UGA and what they've been/done this year, the less impressed I am. But when you get a bunch of 5 star lineman who decide that this is the most important game of the year and go all out, it could swing it in their favor. If we can hold our own and play even with them on both lines of scrimmage I think we win.
They have like 4-6 sacks, total, this year as a defense? If they don't get to Hooker, we are going to carve them like a Thanksgiving Turkey. They also have very few tackles for loss.
