My brother went to see him play a few times and his first observation was that he spent a lot of time running for his life
I'm being 100% honest when I say I looked at Simpson and Horn's video when they first came up as prospects and I didn't get why Simpson was the main target. Horn looks much better suited for a passing offense, to me. I preferred him from the get go.
His dad's a decent developer of quarterbacks, but who knows how good Simpson actually is playing in that region.
I have talked to some respected HS coaches who questioned his potential. The critiques were not physical abilities, they were more mental and regarding his attitude/personality. Prediction was that he had access/advantages far earlier than others, but others will surpass him in college. Guess we will see. Saban will either break the bad habits or recruit over him. Nolan is interesting. He is one of the most dominant players I have seen in HS. Some coaches I know said he is among the best they have seen, and those coaches as a group have seen/coached big names. He has been working with Walls since Middle School. Hopefully he stays out of the trouble... nothing major, but he has had some minor run ins. If you tell me this kid is going to stay out of trouble and work his tail off, I would tell you that this is the most important recruit for the next cycle. Like John Henderson, Albert Haynesworth freak level athlete.
Gotta get Nolan. As far as Ty, he'll be fine. All the overrated stuff is sour grapes. He'll sit for a year then start in 2023 after Young goes. I'm not worried about QB, though. If they can't get some good QB play out of what we have on the roster then he'd have been wasted here anyway.
Posted at the other place, apparently from VQ: Hopefully Garner has the chops to bring him to Tennessee.
If you stay out of Garner's way, he'll deliver you pipelines to schools that you normally couldn't get in without a crowbar.
So we didn’t get Horn either. Are we nervous now? Honestly I don’t even know who our top targets were
