As of now he's still attempting to play both. He said he hasn't spoken to Clemson's basketball coach but he's met Barnes and he will let him play both.
But I ain't even mad....Butch was at a serious disadvantage with this recruit, seeing as how Higgins old man didn't even play ball at UT. How we supposed to land a kid if his parents didn't wear the Orange?
Their current QB is phenomenal, and ours is a poor passer. But neither one will be throwing to this kid. It's not like Clemson has been that great prior to Watson, and I'm pretty sure they're stacked at receiver. But I see what you're saying. We've made it clear we aren't interested in throwing to game changing receivers.
This one annoys me. Partly because of his talent and the geography and partly because it means we probably miss on more in state guys.
A lot of pressure associated with being a first round draft pick. Better to fly under the radar undrafted like North.
