2015 DB Ugo Amadi

I really wish we could steal this kid away from ole piss. I think he is going to be a great corner.

He has looked very bad at the camps he's went to.

 

I've watched his film and I think he would be a great corner. He just needs some coaching.

 

No faith in Martinez

 

My hope is he will be gone soon and we will have a position coach who knows what he is doing.

 

I have tons of faith in Martinez - plus he is a pretty good recruiter.

I distrust any plan that predicates its success upon Willie Martinez's coaching ability.

 

How many straight up "good" DB coaches are there? It seems to me this is where many put a weaker coach that is also a great recruiter.

Eh, some do that. I wouldn't put it in the same catagory as TE Coach though.

This is pretty well true. GA's are pretty involved in working with the DB's (sometimes as much as the DB coach). Fair would do just fine working with Ugo.

 

Is Martinez even that good of a recruiter? Seems like I never hear of him locking up recruits.

 

It's the only reason he continues to get high profile jobs

 

These all seem to be the positions, depending on whether the coach in question is offense or defense.

Just seems there are a lot of bad DB coaches who are great recruiters.

Why take a juco when you can get a guy who can develop for 4 years?

 

Martin is extremely good, he's bigger then any CB on the roster and Butch helped him get to a JUCO.

The staff has invested a lot of time in him.
