Played out of position at DT last season because that's where his team needed him. Apparently a super strong kid, too. I think they just liked the measurables and intangibles.
I suppose they've worked in enough championship caliber teams to be able to trust their eyes more than 247sports composite rankings. A la Fulmer. And Moron.
I'm a little surprised with Pruitt's recruiting background that he's been going after "potential". I'm not knocking the kid or the evaluation at all or buy all in on the recruiting services but I was expecting a top 5 to 10 class this year. It all depends on the coaching and if Pruitt and Co can coach them up and win on the field, then that's all that matters. I just didn't see this one coming but glad he's where he wants to be.
I'll cut him slack this year after going 1 and 45 with trumpet sucker and the craziest offseason I can remember
we just went 4-8 and winless in SEC. Kids this age saw us suck for years and fans at each others throats in frustration. We look to be getting bigger, stronger and faster everywhere.
Damn. That was an academic requirement thing. He won't have to go to school this fall since he's going to Oregon.
How the hell does a high schooler bench 410? Are PEDs rampant in high school because of lack of money for testing?
