I love it, too.

Second half last night not only sucked balls, but if we’re going to get the highest possible #1 seed, merely winning isn’t enough - but we’ve got to be as impressive as possible in doing it. No, I’m not throwing this team out or under the bus, but just speaking to the reality of what it’s going to take. And I’m also not saying that a 20 point win isn’t impressive...but it’s less impressive than a 30+ point win, and that was absolutely do-able last night.

I get that it’s hard to stay laser-focused for every millisecond of a 30 point laugher at home, but we’ve got to learn to do that.

Beyond this game, we still have this pesky knack of going into a scoreless shell for several minutes at multiple points in a game, and/or just getting lazy and being careless with the ball / passes. We have a few TO’s a game where someone simply mishandles a ball or throws a shitty pass on the perimeter because of laziness and inattention.

You can’t learn to be cognizant of these things only once the tourney starts - because it’s too late by then - and I get why Barnes was pissed about their effort in second half.

Winning is enough for #1 seed. Margin doesnt matter one bit.

 

Would really, really, really like to get the 1 in Louisville.
