I actually felt bad for Iona last night. And not the school either, but these players. I don’t feel bad for any administration that employees Rick Pitino.

But the Iona guys were competing their asses off, it just wasn’t good enough, obviously. Their starter went out mid 2nd after doing his hammy and he was clearly upset about it as he tried to fight through it and then fight with the trainer to stay in. Anyway, they probably know the drill, that they’re here to collect a paycheck that helps make it possible to play the rest of the season. But yeah, knowing they probably work just hard as our guys work, it was still hard.

And that’s not blame our guys one bit either. They don’t owe anybody any favors or mercy.

I don’t anticipate it will be any easier today either. Sometimes you just have to wear one.

 

This is worse than when that stacked little league team plays the team with 1 pitcher.

 

That was worse than yesterday.

 

We should make everyone bat from the wrong side of the plate and throw with the wrong hand tomorrow.

 

Tommy Tanks from NC State had 9 home runs at 29 RBIs already.

 

My first inclination is to wonder if NC St. has played anybody yet. But then I think our guys haven’t really faced stiff competition yet either and aren’t close to those numbers.
