21-22 Season

I'm not hating on the last shot. It was not a bad design and you have such little time that a shot at the basket is going to be difficult. Plus, I'm sure they were told not to let Vescovi beat them. I doubt the design was specific to get JJJ a shot, but to get Zeigler to drive with players spread out to find open space. JJJ happened to be open and it was his opportunity. Dude did hit two big threes during the run late.

I have no issues with the final 6 seconds.

 

I’m way behind, so haven’t seen anything but the play by play. If he got an open look, I can live with it. Not like there’s anyone else I’d feel great about taking the shot.

 

Glad we fought back. Wish we’d just stop letting games get out of hand in the first place. Would be nice to actually win on one of these comebacks, too.

I’d feel better putting Chandler and Powell in and either them taking that shot if they’re going to deny Vescovi.

 

Josiah was the hot hand. I don’t have a problem with it.

 

It was a perfectly fine last second play. JJJ had the hot shooting hand and open look, just missed by an inch. That's basketball. Dwell on the half court foul at the halftime buzzer, not the last play.

 

I don’t think James can have a hot hand.

Haven’t seen anything special about Powell all season.

 

Powell was putting more effort in at defense today.

 

He was 3-6 from 3 tonight prior to that shot.

 

I guess I don’t count that one because we were favored bigly.

 

Yes but he’s also a shooting under 30% on the season. I’ll take my chances with someone else.

 

The 2 guys that got us back in it touched the ball. Can’t complain about that

 

I can see why he did not last in Pearl's system. Just not consistently someone that always plays with maximum energy. It's almost like he's in his own head a lot. Can't find any rhythm or confidence to his game.

 

Lol what? He was Pearl’s best or 2nd best player before he got injured and was out the rest of the season.

 

When was the last time we hit a game winning shot at the buzzer?
