Disagree. No guarantees at all with our QB situation, especially the next 3 years. You sign the best QB you can every year. Nobody can fault Heupel if he doesn't snag Simpson's commitment in such a short time frame. That said, Simpson would be a monumental get and set the tone for the entire '22 class early.
maybe. He throws a good ball and can move. However, if his dad being hired was part of the deal prior, I don't blame JH for not having the same agreement.
I'm going to ask because I've had too much to drink tonight and don't feel like looking it up. How many times has hiring daddy to a coaching position worked out well? I'm not saying it hasn't happened, but I'm coming up with nothing great in my memory.
Monumental get. He's a 4* who plays against inferior competition. He may be all that, but just as we can't guarantee Bailey or Salter who are already on campus will ball out, I dont think we can guarantee Tys success either.
Sure. He can be a bust just like any QB can. That's why you go get the best in '23 and '24 and so on too. He's also a highly rated 4 star that could commit to Bama or Clemson right now. Not some borderline guy with a few SEC offers. I'm speaking for the perception from other recruits though. It absolutely, 100% would be a monumental get. All that said, there are plenty of options out there if he lands elsewhere.
