The goal of protestant or catholic is conversion. Protestants get a pass for the word hope of conversion?

I need to read catholicism for dummies. I honestly find this discussion very interesting.

 

Have an independent stroke. Believe strongly in interfaith dialogue, but do have mission of conversion. Primarily in US. Independent streak and US focus leaves them as appearing rather liberal - or at least oains in the rear - at times with regard to Rome.

A Paulist priest from Boston performed my wife's and my marriage preparations retreat (in East TN, interestingly enough). He also happens to be the priest who would not deny Jogn Kerry communion.

 

That's what Protestants do. It is like a slut. What does a slut do? Sleeps around. That's what they are, they're sluts.

Can any woman sleep around? Of course! But sluts are known for it. Protestants are known for bible thumping. For the most part, Catholicism has grown out of that phase.

Also, the Protestant world doesn't have a very prominent figure that is known across the globe.
