I didn't believe for a minute that some obscure video is really the cause of the whole situation. I suspected, and still do, that it is some pretext for a power play by those deposed or margainalized during the Arab Spring. I also suspect it is designed to get Americans to target the new governments of the region (as most in the region know most Americans lack the understanding of the sophisticated political constructs of the Middle East) to destabilize the governments and step into the power vacuum. Of course, that's just my opinion. Maybe Sarah Palin is right, we should just carry a "big stick" and start wielding it because that certainly seems to work so well.
