I just realized Shoop has no buyout in his contract. This could conceivably be a one year stint considering how good the D could be.

There is not a buyout for either side.

 

For recruiting purposes, I'd like to see another 5 years extending that contract. Kids these days want to know that a coach is going to be there to coach their kids someday.

Besides, the right thing to do would be to give a lifetime contract. Otherwise, all this VFL talk is just a bunch of ticklebutt.

 

I'm willing to give him an extension, but only if we raise his buyout by 5 million a year.
