You mean you can't get on board with this: "Rings are very, very special. Each team is bonded by a championship ring, and that ring tells a particular story. It's like a storybook of that particular season, so that's why the sides are important, why the front of it is very important. I think it also builds pride in your institution."
it's a really wordy butchy way to say something and i don't like him using term "championship ring" when he's never sniffed a championship but that's the main part i take issue with. i get the point. we kind of forget about the kids involved and how much they put into it out here in internet land.
I don't care if the players get rings or banners or whatever as champions of the Melungeon Outrigger Pasta Bowl. But as a fan, I never want to hear of it much less something to be bragged about as helping "build the program". Win the damn SEC East.
[ddiapos] was multiple screwjobs from the officials away from adding that awesome program building milestone that is a Music City Bowl victory to his resume.
He had it for a few seconds. Man won't ever forget that game. Was half way down the first ramp then had to run back inside.
The fans in attendance let their feelings be known. Looked like a Waste Industries truck flipped over on the field. Good times.
Thought this was a thread announcing that Butch was resigning to sell shower curtain rings.
