We all know how this is going to end. Butch wins 6 or 7, Currie cans him. The team will be frustrating to watch because there are future nfl players all over the field. Butch will screw up the QB spot, leading to Dormady or Guarantano transferring and with the coaching change Tennessee won't have a QB in the 2018 recruiting class. The only thing that isn't pretty much set in stone is who Currie hires. Now, the talent could overcome Butch's coaching on offense and the defense plays up to the level of talent on the field and Tennessee wins 10, but it's highly unlikely. There are no excuses as far as talent and depth go and any spot other than RB. Butch has a stud in Kelly, a talented freshman that automatically be #2 and some warm bodies there.
That's kind of what I'm getting at. Any coach nowadays that's worth anything isn't. Even the ones that aren't worth anything are. I mean, I don't support those things that people do, but your hard pressed to find someone whose clean.
Sure. Now if your definition of morals includes strict adherence to a bunch of ridiculous NCAA rules, maybe not.
Now...I'm not suggesting we go out and hire Petrino. Not wanting to hire someone for their past, I get that and won't argue it, but.... All I'm saying is we could do a lot worse, we've proved it twice in the last decade.
If you're going after an AVN award... Do they give those for screwing things up? Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
