Definitely comes accross as a player's coach. Based on limited twitter reactions, our players seem excited, too. Noteworthy that he emphasized a "competitive" atmosphere within the team.
Quick thoughts after watching: 1. I like him better than Dooley. 2. He's a bit of a dumb jock and kind of corny. 3. He strikes me as a less-polished version of Pearl. 4. I can see why recruits would love him and why others would run from him. 5. The Tennessee dream job stuff was excessive and false, but for a guy that started at Ferris State, Tennessee probably seemed like a long shot and thus a dream. I'll be the guy who gives him "the benefit of the doubt" for now. Can't help it. I'm emotionally attached to this team and don't want to think about the alternative. GBO and all that jazz.
Winners win. Maybe he is a winner. Hopefully, by the time we have our next presser our current chancellor and AD will be working at Carson Newman.
How was this not posted Hart's Last Sentence at the Presser. "I have a level of expertise and level of information that no one else has."
I'm extremely worried about how he'll handle recruiting. Like everyone else stated on here, it's a whole different animal in this conference.
The continual Dream Job thing was a bit much for me, coming from a guy that has no ties whatsoever to The University of Tennessee. So.....Dream Job = I have always dreamed about making $3MM per year somewhere.
