I'm not saying you wrote anything dumb. I'm saying that stupidity isn't respected here and sunshine pumping and stupidity have gone hand in hand of late.

I think the vast, vast majority of this class sticks together. I also don't see anyway on God's green earth they get above 7 wins. I just expect a couple of 18 year olds to get cold feet when other coaches continually tell them they are making a terrible decision. Nature of the game.

 

Agreed. The smart people here realized he was an abject failure years before the folks on other boards. These same folks that told us how Dooley was all vol and a great dude and great coach are now claiming they thought he sucked all long. They are also either predicting 10 win seasons or arguing jones inherited a situation so bad he can't be expected to succeed till Johnny Manziel drops out of the bottom of the porn industry. Neither way of thinking is anything but pure stupidity.

 

7 regular season wins is attainable. I don't care if they win the weedeater pepsi classic bowl

If I had to pick one thing I like far better about this site than VN, it would he that there aren't 1,000 idiots trying to outdo themselves in a race to say the same baseless thing at any one time. Well over 90% of the posts add nothing to the conversation or collective knowledge base.

I don't think this site is overly negative. I think there are a few posters who tend to lean that way, but very few posts seem to be based in unrealistic defeatism or vindictive spite over the coaching search (I am failing to recall any of these). I think the difference in tone is mainly a product of the missing chorus of blind faith that pervades VN and some other boards.

 

I think this site is overwhelmingly negative toward the current UT administration, but said negativity is justified.

I had a first row seat to see Fulmer waste a lot of talent due to coaches fighting each other.

I witnessed an ad sign a young coach to a cheap buyout and lose him.
