Best player on either side of the ball in a while. Is he better than Berry? Sent from my R1 HD using Tapatalk
Does Barnett just go through the motions against lesser teams? It seems like he should be able to put up some big numbers against the Appalachian States and Ohios of the world, but you rarely hear his name called.
It's hard to say. I really hadn't thought about it before tonight. I might give Berry an edge based on return ability.
A lot of those schools are running offenses that aren't giving up a lot of sacks by design. Appy State was like 4th in the country in sacks allowed last year because there is so little dropback passing.
Okay, so that's one game. Since he's been here, we've played: Virginia Tech Oklahoma x2 Appalachian State Ohio Western Carolina North Texas Bowling Green Northwestern Utah State Arkansas State UTC Iowa It just seems crazy that he would only get three sacks against that list.
I watched him do it, and then they called it back. Can't remember if he ever got over the hump. I'm thinking no.
Barnett is the only reason I might watch the last few games. I expect him to be motivated to break the sack record
The long INT return against Tebow in the Swamp his freshman year is one of my favorite UT plays of all time. "SEE YA!"
Berry and Barnett are definitely on the same level and rank amongst the best to wear the orange. Both, also, IMO are as good as anyone in the last 10 years at their position.
I believe he did break it and then they ruled that he had recovered a fumble through the air rather than it being an interception. Think it was against Arkansas maybe.
