Derek Barnett

He's a better football player than just about anyone else in the country this season, but you know NFL GMs get stupid over shit that really don't matter during the draft. I would take him #1 overall if I ran a 4-3 and never lose sleep

 

Barnett's mean. That's a characteristic I want on my defense. Garrett's a nice player, but I don't think he wakes up wanting to hurt people.

 

He is definitely mean, yet all at the same time seems to have a humble side to him, at least it sounds that way every time he's interviewed. You can tell he is never complacent and always wanting that next sack. He also, stays out of trouble, it seems any way.

 

The way he hits qbs makes me giddy.

I wouldn't touch Garrett in the first round. He's always injured. I don't see him being a cornerstone of an NFL defense. Barnett will wreck back fields for a decade or so.

 

Not that k think he really cares, but the snub is just more motivation. He's plainly better than Garrett.

Yeah he was a combine freak. Pretty much everyone knew he'd be a bust too

 

I love it. He also plays mean which I like. I think he is going to have a killer NFL career.
