Too true. I was mortified by those parents who would needle the coaches for extra playing time for their young uns'. It is one of the reasons I didn't last very long coaching baseball. I honestly can't understand parents who behave that way.

 

after being a bball ref in grad school, I quickly learned I can never be a coach for that reason. I could tell parents' why they were wrong and (in much nicer terms) to shut up. Watching some of the coaches', I could tell they wish they had that kind of leverage.

 

My uncle has 3 daughters and helps coach 3 different little league softball teams. He is a patient individual
