Earthquake - 4.4 - 12/12/18

My wife experienced the 8.0 earthquake in Peru in 2007 where the epicenter was 100 miles away. She called me, scared shitless, and said it seemed like the building would surely collapse under her.

 

Now that would be scary as shit, because that is foundations of the buildings moving around, cracking, the ground shifting 20 feet on one direction kind of stuff.

Glad she survived.

My house just vibrated and caused the windows and doors to rattle. Nothing fell over, nothing moved, just trembled.

 

There was one in 09 or 10 that I remember. Just heard a loud boom that sounded like a cannon has fired. Scared the crap out of me.

 

I can't imagine an 8.0.

 

Open your hand... I'll be right there.

 

That's exactly what I remember thinking last night. That and a train.

Yeah. It was Saturday & my house is in a frequent National Guard flight path. It's common for them to fly over on Guard weekends.
