Notre Dame is about to face UNC, NC State, USC, Wake Forest and Miami. That could end Brian Kelly.

UCLA looks like the final leg of their schedule is tough, but their next few don't look tough. Doubt they pull the trigger soon.

 

Well yeah, but lose 3-4 of the others and his seat will be on fire. Honestly, Wake could get him and that would be tough to get past.

 

Was tempted to drive to Knoxville last night to kuck Butch straight in the jimmy.

 

Just finish the experiment so we can stop.

 

UCLA doesn’t fire coaches midseason. Or at least not football coaches

People over in rumor mill land stating that there are assistant coach shakeups going on right now in order to do some damage control and "appease" the fan base.

The more I think about it the more I can see our administration really screwing this up. It has been our reality for the past 7 or 8 years after all.

 

You've got Butch guys and Shoop guys. They aren't really wanting to work with each other

My last point still stands though.

 

So what's the matter with Shoop? He went from a good football coach to an incompetent boob in a hurry.

It can't be that simple. How do you take a top notch DC who has been good wherever he's been, throw in a DLine coach well respected enough to have been Michigan's head coach, and come out with a defense that gives up 987 yards to every D1 opponent they face?

It's like they got on campus and immediately received a lobotomy.

 

From what I hear Butch is a micromanaging dimwit.

It would not surprise me if Butch went into Shoop's office over the summer and said "I have this great idea for Tech...I call it the super gap defense. We line up two yards OFF the ball!"

 

CFBLive twitter account reporting Butch fired and Shoop named interim. Seems to be a troll account though. Got my hopes up for a second.

 

Does Butch still talk on the mic during practice? Thought I'd heard he scrapped that. Would imagine some of the new staff kind of demanded it as a term of their employment.
