What are the sites/8thers I need to see?

 

The Second City, Lake Michigan and wrigley

 

Hot Doug's, Giordano's, Billy Goat Tavern, Harry Carey's (just because it's one of the last bars I know that has bathroom attendants), Al's Beef, Greek Isles, and Garrett's Popcorn.

Yeah I've look up everything posted. All super promising.

 

Forget the big pizza places, Uno's & Lou Malnati's (I think that's thr names). Chicago style pizza just sucks. My AD is fom Chicago. He goes to a NY style pizza place that he says is muhmazing. Can't remember the name though.

 

Drop the top down and play some rocky top rolling on South Halsted and West 77th

Ever had Serralle's Don Q Anejo?

 

Devil Dogs and Gene & Georgetti's. The other recommendations so far are also top flight.

 

Ditka had gone upscale at his place and had great steaks last time I was there, but I'd be reticent to believe it is still on track. That would be one I'd ask the concierge about.

 

South side is where it is at.

 

If Chris Chelios' chili stand is still open, it was cool.

 

I have not but I will look it up.

 

Speaking of Southside, it's not everyone's cup of tea but check out one of the places that smokes fish if you like that sort of thing.

 

Was stuck in plane for 3 hrs before takeoff tonight at ohare. Was glad I picked up a bag of GP Chicago mix in the airport!

Both Al's and Portillo's Hot Dogs across the street are great and easy on the wallet. Big Star taco joint in Wicker Park is always a must visit for me.

 

Out of curiosity, any chance there is some outta this world Chinese i need to know about? jo, are you in Chicago? If so i'd like to meet up one evening or for lunch.
