http://www.foxsports.com/college-fo...st-butch-jones-josh-dobbs-vols-feldman-042815 opening paragraph says a lot: The last time I was in Knoxville was two years ago. Butch Jones had just arrived and the Vols were early in spring ball. It was stunning to see just how mediocre UT had become. It had the worst collection of skill talent from any power conference team I've ever seen. The program I spent three days around last week looked dramatically different.
Yeah but what droski bolded is an exaggeration. We were pulling Top 25 classes annually. I'm sure they were overrated players, and I know there were defections, but still we weren't the woat talent wise.
Yeah, I drove through Durham and Winston-Salem, NC a few weeks ago. Those colleges are real too (at least they have exit signs.)
Look at the skill positions on that team (which is what Feldman was talking about): Worley at QB, Jacob Carter was the most seasoned WR on the spring 2013 roster, Coleman was CB #1 and Lane and Neal were the RB tandem. It was pretty bad.
As much as I hate Butch on game days, he's done an unbelievable job flipping the roster. The talent he's accumulating on the dline will have us in contention every year, especially being in the east, but I think Butch will lose games he shouldn't
