In a confined space a shotgun is going to do a hell of a lot more damage per trigger pull than any other weapon out there.

 

Perhaps the AR is used so often is because it is so demonized by the anti-gun crowd. Self fulfilling prophecy.

I wonder how many people would have died in Vegas if the shooter had used a "standard" AR as opposed to the "modified" AR that effectively made it an already illegal automatic weapon.

This goes back to a point that I made earlier in the thread that no matter what you outlaw, someone will figure out a way to modify what is left.

 

He clearly said in the video that at 30 yards, a shotgun is the most deadly weapon around.

A gun is a tool. The people that run into buildings shooting are using the wrong ones if they want a high body count.

Must be in close range, and per trigger pull. To me, if it takes two conditions to be argued over weapons without given the benefit of specific circumstances in the discussion, it isn't a strong argument.
