Yes he did. John L Smith was fired after 06 and Dantonio was hired from Cincy.

We can do better. Besides, we don't even have an opening, so all of this talk is futile, really.

In retrospect I was pretty hard on Dooley. I'd be up for giving him one more chance.

Hell, if we're going to make the next hire based on Rose Bowls, we should have pitched Bielema on Saturday - because he took Wisconsin to three of them.

It doesn't get any bigger than the Rose Bowl.

If the aim of your program is to get to Rose Bowls, you can't go wrong with Dantonio or Bielema.

    Rose Bowls a'plenty, those two.

Hang around, KPT. Once these guys tire of saying Fuente, Rich Rod and Dantonio, giving Dooley another chance is just right around the corner.

I like Dantonio but I am with you on this one Tenny. Its Gruden or nothing for me. He is the perfect fit, period.

The goal of the program is to win championships. They have 5 BCS conference championships between them.

    **** the Rose Bowl.

Bullshit, you are reaching to prove your bias. When Fuente has a handful of rings from a BCS conference and a string of 11 win seasons, that will be the same.

By your criteria, Saban was a lousy hire at LSU and Meyer was a lightweight rolling into Florida.

Hell D'Antonio could easily be more successful here than Gruden. Not saying I don't want Grudrn but it isn't all or nothing for me.

I like Dantonio but it would take near Saban money to get him, IMO. I think we could get Gruden for less.

No way D'Antonio would require more money than Gruden and his staff.

    +1.......on the last sentence.

But first Booger and Goober have to go first

    Five Big 10 Championships.

    Butch had 3-4 Conference Championships.

    Did that help us?

Why isn't it all or nothing?

    Should it be?
