It was all just a dream; he never settled because he's too picky. He regrets never having kids and made the entire thing up killing time on his death bed.

As much as this show has referenced the 80s, I'd laugh if that was the ending.

 

Apparently Breaking Bad has an alternate ending.

 

Still not seen the regular ending.

 

That would be the greatest troll of an ending ever.

 

It's pretty straight forward

 

I could see it all being a dream that causes Ted to come up with a reason to break up with the mom early in their relationship. I haven't seen the past 2 seasons so my ending could be impossible.

 

Well, tonight is the night. Any guesses?

 

I just started this on Netflix. I'm hooked.

So, is it looking like either the mother or Ted is dead in the end?

 

The mother is I think.

 

Feeds right into Walking Dead, imo.

haven't watched the show, but how would he be telling this story to the kid if he is dead?

 

People have suggested it is something he recorded before he died since he likes telling stories and wouldn't have the chance to tell his kids. I think that theory was shot down though because apparently he interacted with the kids in one of the early seasons.
