Disagree. A coach can sell a “vision” in the first couple of years regardless of on field performance.

I saw former Auburn WR Kyle Davis in a picture with some other recruits on campus. If he can keep his nose clean he could be a big time player for Tennessee.
As a player: Highly recruited, a lot of talent. Fairly raw and needed better coaching than he got. Really high ceiling. He’s not a bad kid, but he went pretty wild with the substance abuse. Spent time away from the team, came back, started doing the same stuff again. Gus gave him every chance to stay. I’d love to see him go to UT and be successful.
