Of course I don't know for sure, but the way he fell isn't the way you break your blade normally. Now a chipped collarbone would be possible, but oftentimes in surgery, they take some of it off anyway. Called a distal clavicle excision or dce. If its a labrum, he should be ready for spring.
I believe it was the other one and it must've been a quick cleanup, or he wouldn't have been able to camp. Read somewhere that he put on 20lbs of muscle while not doing upper body work while recovering. Hopefully, he'll do the same, but therapy for a labrum absolutely sucks.
My youngest son tore the Labrum in both shoulders. He rehabbed for approximately 12 weeks, has had no problems.
Pretty common procedure. Good thing hurd isn't a qb, and good thing its not a chronic separation or dislocation, imo. Sounds like a cleanup after the season, which we would probably all benefit from, and an awkward fall causing an injury.
