So the fact that he landed at great schools and had elite success is actually a part of your argument against him? Solid.

And those elite defenses dropped off when he left? Like, Alabama got really bad? No.

What I want is evidence they were HIS defenses.

Ok. I'm sure he implemented his entire defensive schema and plan in his single year at Florida State. So yea, 5 years.

Florida State defensive players are brilliant.

    Ok here ya go,

In 2013 Pruitt had FSU as the 3rd ranked defense. After he left for UGA, FSU had the 63rd ranked defense in 2014.

    That's a good stat.

And they were what, 6th in 2012? And then they lost how many players in 2014?

You want a snapshot in time? Last year, Tennessee wasn't 4-8.

To be fair, what was the defense ranked in 2012? I honestly have no idea, just curious.

    Edit: Float answered my question.

It was good (Top 15 or top 10?), but still improved by a few spots in every category under Pruitt

    And age.

They only returned three starters from the ‘12 defense too.

If it were one instance, I would agree. UGA also improved under him every year, and vastly improved from the coaches before him.

You think Jimbo or Richt played a big part at those stops?

Y’all can whine and discredit all you want.

He’s a good coach, excellent recruiter, quality pedigree, and I’m on board until he shows me he’s incapable.

So, status quo then. Hopefully our burden of proof has at least tempered, since nothing else has changed the last decade.

Defensive coordinator in 2012 for FSU was Mark Stoops. Heard of him?

Defensive coordinator in 2013 for Georgia was Todd Grantham. Heard of him?

If you haven't, check our record against some of their teams. Some people have memories, and can even remember simple things like... how to jump routes, despite current coaching.

Please don't compare the two. It's silly to even try. I bet hundreds of good coaches have said the same thing.

Things were better when Phil didn' give a damn about the whole state of alabama.
