So is the basement at a time we could least afford taking a chance.

I'm sure we'll get a good look at our future while Bubba Gump is coaching the bammers throughout the playoffs.

He will recruit the at the highest level we’ve seen in 15 years and will have a stellar staff.

    So, like, Crompton and Bray?

He is as good as it gets as a DC. He is as good as it gets in recruiting. He will have to have a very good staff but those two things alone are a major plus.

What is this based on? He has 4 years of experience as a DC at the collegiate level.

It’s not rocket science. Coach defense, recruit bad ass players, and get good offensive coaches.

And two of those were under Saban, who always has a top tier defense. At some point, it's about the head guy and the system, not the coordinators.

As for recruiting, he was recruiting to Alabama, FSU, and UGA. Not exactly tough places to pull in top talent.

It looks like he's specialized in DBs his whole career, and then he got to Alabama, and now he's LBs?

DBs are friggen Alabama's specialty. What does it say that your life's work is shit on an unarguably amazing defensive team?

I ask again.. what is this based on?

So his entire career is based on his ability to put his whole career in someone else's hands?

Yea, that isn't rocket science. You don't do that.

    Saban coaches DBs at Alabama.

He did two years of DBs at Alabama before he moved on, when he came back as DC, he got moved. Why?

And fielded elite defenses every year. You want a guy with 10 years DC experience? At what point is it enough?
