10 wins and a Sugar Bowl is not out of the question at all. (Heck, SEC Network guys are saying we're a potential playoff team.) But this is a must win game if any of that is going to happen.
I know what Death Valley brings, just glad it's an 11 am kick off. LSU isn't a great team but they have a mobile qb, a few NFL receivers and an elite pass rusher.
The more you win, the more important the games get. I think at the start of the season we just saw this as a potential loss while trying to get 8 wins. Now it is a gateway to big things.
The receivers are what scare me. They appear to want to keep the QB in the pocket more than Florida did. Which could be good or bad. If we can't get to him, it could still be a long afternoon.
Probably the most talented and complete team we’ve played all season, and we haven’t exactly blown away the other two competent teams we played. OTOH, they’re pretty flawed, and our previous close games have been more about us stopping ourselves than anything. Our A game wins this, possibly comfortably. Our B+ game is gonna make us sweat, and our C+ game might get run out of the stadium.
Vols -4 it is. One of only two SEC games opening with a line in the single digits (MSU is favored by 6 over Arkansas), including neither of the CBS double-header games, both of which have opening lines over 20.
And Auburn made LSU punt a lot. All we gotta do is do half of what they did to LSU and we should run them
