Not on strength. but having a crazy strong arm is actually a bit overrated. JFF has touch and accuracy, which is more important.
(1) How come after I mentioned that JFF is more accurate than Vick, people respond "Vick's arm is unbelievable"? Yeah, it's great in a contest for who can throw the farthest. In a contest for how can throw it to a receiver, I'm going JFF. (2) Then watch. He's accurate. (3) What's "his type"? And I'm really really looking forward to your response on this one.
He's a lot more Doug Flutie than you want to admit. He didn't play disciplined football. He relied on defenses breaking down due to him running around rather than being able to stay in the pocket and run an offense. He's going to get physically abused by NFL defenses if he does that very long in the league. Russell Wilson is the smartest scrambling qb possibly ever in the NFL and Newton is 250 lbs and can take it. The rest of these supposed "game changing" qbs don't really ever do much.
A year ago, I didn't think he'd be a first rounder, but he is. I still don't think he'll be a successful franchise QB, but we'll see.
There aren't many elite QBs this year. I doubt he'd go any lower than the 3rd QB, so probably a first rounder.
He's a tough talented player that played in the perfect system for his talent. I just don't see him as a franchise qb in the NFL though.
QB and an RB away from being the best team in that division, and it isn't hard to find a RB these days. Hell, most of their games last year were close
I don't think he's that great. Just my opinion. I don't see him pulling the sandlot stuff very effectively in a league where everyone is athletic.
