I just dont' see it. Reggie White was a great professional football player and an exceptionally talented college football player that didn't like to work hard enough as a Vol to dominate until it mattered to his draft status.
I like Holloway on there for the historical significance as well as being a great player. It's hard to limit it to 4 guys. The Humboldtian in me likes Doug Atkins up there.
i'm no fulmerite, but the guy did preside over the best stretch of football since the general, however he managed to do it
Well, that's 1000% ridiculous and it's not even debatable. What are your top couple of reasons for even putting Berry on the list.
I don't want this to turn in to a Fulmer thread so I'll just leave that alone. I like Berry, I just don't get the thought that he's one of the greatest Vols of all time. I don't think he's there.
Berry did it for three years, Carter was only here two years. Berry wasn't allowed to return kicks full time either. I'm not knocking Carter, he was a stud in his time in Knoxville.
EB nearly broke the NCAA INT return yardage record in 3 years. And a good portion of those yards came in his first 2 years.
EB sticks out more due to the otherwise ordinary and crap that was around him, too. Though he'd have been a stud in the late 90s too. Still it's hard for me to put him on mine.
